Introduction
Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) is the premier regional groups in Southeast Asia. It made widely credited for major contributions to Southeast Asia for the better, nice, stable and prosperous than might otherwise be the incident. ASEAN has also played an important role as promoters of regional cooperation that has wider to provide a forum for the countries of Southeast Asia, the major powers and other countries who are interested to discuss and coordinate approaches to regional issues.

It is to strengthen cooperation with the pursuit of self- development of the ASEAN Economic Community, ASEAN Political-Security Community and ASEAN Socio-Cultural Community.

Moreover, ASEAN is also working to develop greater cooperation in East Asia, in the context of often tense and competitive relations among the great powers, particularly through the ASEAN Regional. ASEAN Plus Three and the East Asia Summit even consider a new challenge - recently encountered in the implementation of ASEAN cooperation and maintain unity, including the importance of the contested South China Sea, the political transition in Myanmar, ASEAN's institutional capacity and potential membership issue for north western. Therefore, the assessment of interest, Australia will be the main basis of the relationship with ASEAN, including the economic, political interaction and cooperation in the development of a wider regional dialogue.
